The Hotel Louvre Bons Enfants recommand you to visit the Stade de France when you will be in Paris .

The Stade de France is the biggest French stadium with 81,338 seats in football / rugby configuration. It is located in the district of La Plaine Saint-Denis in Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris. It is the work of architects Michel Macary, Aymeric Zublena, Regembal Michel and Claude Costantini. The architecture of this stage is based on the Worldport the U.S. airline Pan Am, which is located at the airport John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
It was inaugurated January 28, 1998 by Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic, during the football match France – Spain. Built for the needs of the FIFA World Cup in France to replace the Parc des Princes deemed too small, it was also designed to accommodate various sporting events: football, rugby, athletics, motor racing. It can also host concerts, shows and major events (dreams of snow and beach stage). Its capacity varies between 70,000 (athletics) and 81,338 places (football, rugby, concerts and shows) with retractable lower stands.
He temporarily took the name Stade de France – Paris 2012 (because it was the Olympic Stadium in Paris in 2012) until the appointment of London for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
To date, this is the only stadium in the world to have hosted the final of World Cup football final world cup rugby.

The musée des impressionnismes in Giverny, a village in Normandy, is dedicated to the history of Impressionism and its continuation in the Giverny art colony and along the Valley of the River Seine.

Giverny, land of artists
Claude Monet moved to Giverny in 1883. Although he never encouraged other artists to follow him, the village soon attracted a circle of Americans eager to put the principles of Impressionism into practice at the heart of the Norman landscape.

Founded by Daniel J. Terra in 1992, the musée d’art américain Giverny generated an unprecedented stream of exhibitions, publications, conferences, lectures, and residencies for art historians and artists on the theme of American art, during its sixteen years of existence. In 2009, a partnership was signed between the Terra Foundation for American Art, the Conseil général de l’Eure, the Conseil régional de Haute-Normandie, the Conseil général de la Seine-Maritime, the Communauté d’Agglomération des Portes de l’Eure, the Municipality of Vernon and the musée d’Orsay, to create the musée des impressionnismes Giverny that replaces the musée d’art américain. This museum is dedicated to the history of Impressionism and its aftermath, together with its more distant impact on the second half of the twentieth century. The Terra Foundation maintains an active presence on the Board of Directors of this institution, and also continues to loan artworks, organize exhibitions on American art, and through grants, participate in developing this venue. The musée d’Orsay provides scientific backing together with its special loans policy.

Why a museum of ’Impressionisms’?
The gallery is dedicated to the Impressionist movement, but also offers an exploration of this aesthetic movement beyond the circle of painters generally recognised as Impressionists, as much leading up to the style (its precursors) as resulting from it (post-World War II movements and even contemporary art).
The plural that has been applied to the term ’Impressionism’ aims to evoke this very plurality.

Built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, like its neighbor the Grand Palace, now a museum in 1902, the Petit Palais is located on Avenue Winston Churchill connecting the Champs-Élysées to the Esplanade des Invalides. Work of Charles Girault, the Petit Palais is designed according to a trapezoidal and ordered four main buildings around a semi-circular garden surrounded by a peristyle ornate.

The Petit Palais has a painted and carved very important, conducted between 1903 and 1925. The architect Charles Girault, who wanted to give his building pomp and dignity of a palace official, had designed a program to glorify the city of Paris and celebrate the benefits of Art. With this intention he had carefully determined the locations of the building for a decoration. Essentially, these are high traffic areas and circulation: vestibules input peristyle garden, cupola stairs. Only two large exhibition galleries were also painted.
More than twenty years have been necessary to achieve these sets.

The Paris Marathon is a unique opportunity to discover the city whilst participating in one of the most exciting races over the mythical distance of 26 miles, 385 yards.

The Paris Marathon is today one of the five biggest in the world (along with New-York, London, Berlin and Chicago), not only in terms of the field present, but also by the performances accomplished, the services and logistics put in place and the media coverage.

One hundred nations and more than 40,000 runners will be competing over the 26 miles and 385 yards of the most mythical event that athletics has to offer.
On the second weekend of April, this journey through Paris, from the Champs-Elysées to avenue Foch via the Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne woods, boasts an unrivalled backdrop dotted with a wealth of popular events.

The “Running Expo” fair at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre during the 3 days leading up to the Marathon has also become an unmissable event, by bringing together 60,000 visitors and around 200 professionals from the running world.

The personal challenge of the race also combines with a visit of the city, as the runners hit the streets in the most prestigious of thoroughfares and squares: at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, the participants take starter’s orders, before heading down the Champs-Elysées, towards Place de la Concorde. The Rue de Rivoli then leads them to the Place de la Bastille and after the greenery of the Bois de Vincennes wood, the difficulty of the return journey is soothed by views of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and then the Eiffel Tower.
Each year, this route appeals to more and more athlete-tourists, with almost 16,000 competitors from outside France, making up approximately 40% of the field.

The museum was established in 1985 in the Hotel Salé, the large baroque hotel in the Marais district belonging to the city of Paris, under the supervision of the great architect Roland Simounet. It has welcomed more than 12 million visitors since its opening. The building must now be brought entirely up to code in accordance with current laws, particularly concerning fire safety, the conditions of preventive conservation of national collections, and access for handicapped patrons.
